On November 27 & 28, [GRID] brings together four artists with strong ties to music and underground culture. From painting and printmaking to experimental video art. Different approaches, connected by a world where art and music naturally overlap.
Bob Mollema draws inspiration from mythology, folklore and nature. His colourful, often surreal work is filled with strange creatures, symbols and unusual characters. He’s also the vocalist of Dutch black metal band Fluisteraars.
Tomas Redrey is an Antwerp-based artist working with painting, drawing and tattooing. His bold, distinctive imagery is rooted in tattoo culture and an interest in traditional forms. He also makes music under the name Redray.
Steven van Lummel has been part of The Hague’s underground scene for years, working across art, music and nightlife. His paintings are intuitive and spontaneous, with images and ideas developing as he works.
KRATATA works with moving images, digital textures and experimental visuals. For this exhibition, she’ll be showing video art alongside a selection of prints.
